Thanks – your fix worked well for me – Opera 10.53 on OS X 10.5.8
Do you happen to know a way to force GMail to plain HTML mode for message composition only? That would _really_ speed up “compose” page loading on older machines.

I got "Error 400 Bad Request".

I got a fix. See below. I also added custom domain as a template for anyone else. Make sure to replace example.com with your own.

I'm not sure I follow. remove it from where? from the ini file? If so, that should have shown up as working in firefox then.

But I tried to paste the URL it generated into Firefox, and the same problem happens there.

Here's an example URL which causes the problem:
https://mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1&to=e...

Tested with Safari as well.
